Birthday: February 23, 1940
Zodiac Sign: Pisces
Profession: Henry Fonda was born in New York City to a family of actors. He's the younger brother of actress Jane Fonda. He started his acting career on Broadway and had his film debut in Tammy and the Doctor in 1963.
By the mid 1960s, Peter Fonda had become 'unconventional' and nonconformist – so the established film industry did not want to hire him. Naturally he starred as a leading man in a counterculture-oriented film – The Wild Angles. It was directed by Roger Corman. Fonda played the role of Heavenly Blues – a Hell's Angels chapter president, which he co-wrote with Terry Southern and Dennis Hopper who directed.
They were all nominated for the Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay. Jack Nicholson was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his role as George Hanson – an alcoholic civil rights lawyer. He plays the 'cool Devil' as director Mark Steven Johnson puts it in Ghost Rider that was released last Friday.
